Student of the Month Nomination Criteria
The Student of the Month program aims to promote success in and out of the classroom. For a student to be a well-respected citizen, they must be able to balance many different areas of life. They must exemplify outstanding characteristics both as a student and as a citizen of our community. The student must be able to handle many different aspects of student life while maintaining excellence in the classroom. This award is designed to nominate and select students who promote and take pride in Karns City Jr./Sr. High School and in themselves.
Nomination Criteria
The student will exemplify character in and out of the classroom. A student who has been selected “Student of the Month” will not be eligible again during that school year.
Who Nominates?
Students are to be nominated by Karns City faculty each month. Staff can complete nominations forms and return to the Guidance Office by the 15th of each month. Each department can only nominate one (1) student per month and nominating staff member should vary from month to month.
Selections
The selected student's picture and name will be showcased during the month of recognition both at school and on the school website. The administration will also present a Student of the Month certificate to the student.
