About Mr. Stimac

My name is Josh Stimac and I am the Driver Education Teacher as well as a Gifted Instructor and a Physical Education Instructor at KCHS. As a Karns City graduate, I am thrilled to get the opportunity to work as an educator and be a role model for the youth in the area that I have called home all of my life.

As stated earlier, growing up in Brady's Bend, I have called this area my home all of my life and I am thrilled to get the opportunity to teach here. I graduated from Karns City in 2009. While at KC, I played on the football and baseball teams and was named  a team captain for each team my senior year. I then went on to Slippery Rock University where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education. I taught the full 2014-2015 school year as a long-term Health and Physical Education substitute teacher at Oswayo Valley Middle School/High School in Potter County. While teaching there, I also assisted in coaching their baseball team. For the past two school years I have served as a day-to-day substitute teacher here at Karns City Area School District, while also assisting as a Jr. High and 9th grade football coach and a track coach. In these past two years as a substitute teacher, I have gotten to meet and know majority of the students here at KCHS and I am excited to get the chance to work with them on a full time basis.

In 2015, after nine years of dating, I finally married my wife Chelsy.  This past February we were blessed with the birth of our twin girls, Lola and Cecilia. If I happen to look familiar to any parent seeing this, it may be because I worked at Sam's Club during my time in college. When I have free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, golfing, trout fishing, and anything that gets me up and moving or outside.
